The travel industry is booming once again. Airport lineups aside, people are talking about travel, making plans, and seeking out inspiration. Looking back, it seems what this two-year break has given us is an opportunity for a lot of properties to renovate and open new locations. So I gathered a lineup of hotels that I would like to share with you across the world, but first let’s start a bit closer. Here are Five exciting hotel openings across the USA.

Pendry Park City, Utah

The hotel is located in the Canyons Village at Park City Mountain and is the brand’s first year-round mountain resort.

The property features 153 guestrooms, suits, and residences all designed with a modernist eye on a traditional lodge design. There are four dining options, a rooftop pool, Spa Pendry, a kids club, and over 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The location alone is fantastic for any ski or nature fan with unparalleled access to Wasatch Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountain Range in Utah. That’s 7,300 acres of skiable terrain. But I know skiing, or winter, is not for everyone. So more fun ideas for what you can do in Park City can be found in A day in Park City, Utah article.

Opened in January; Pendry Park City Utah is a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.

Wylder Windham, New York State

Previously knowns as The Thompson House Resort in Windham the newly restored Wylder Windham is located near The Catskill Mountains in southeastern New York State. Upon acquisition, Wylder Hotels took on a preservation approach to renovation. The owners focused on holding on to the historical integrity of this 140-year-old property while adding dashed of modern, unpretentious luxury.

Wylder Windham is an all-season resort near the Catskill Forest Preserve (wildlife, hiking trails, and ski resorts). The property at large is a 110-room full-service resort spread over 20 acres of land. All amenities were restored by local architects and craftsmen. The lodges and rooms are all king- and queen-bedded with oak floors, custom furniture, and luxurious bathrooms. In addition to the boundless nature, the amenities include a heated pool, hammocks, fire pits, tubing, electric bikes, tree swings, a wood-fired sauna, a hot tub, a dog run, and lawn games, though I am hearing there will be more.

Select completed rooms and spaces opened this June, full revamp set to be complete in August 2022.

The Kinley Chattanooga Southside, Chattanooga, Tennessee

Set in the heart of the city’s entertainment district and close to its most popular attractions, all right in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. According to Michael DiMaria, Kinley’s general manager, this 64-room hotel was”designed to be the living room of the neighborhood, fostering sincere relationships between guests and the surrounding neighborhood and city”

The onsite restaurants are focused on vintage-inspired cocktails in a softly lit setting while indulging in locally inspired cuisine. A nearby local railway will take you up to a mountain lookout point at the Ruby Falls waterfall before settling in the Rock City (views, gardens, sandstone formations). The hotel will also encourage you to explore the town of Chattanooga. In town, you can spot street art, try fresh brews at Oddstory Brewing, or become one with the great outdoors.

Fleur Noire Hotel, Palm Springs, California

Fleur Noire Hotel is a new boutique hotel in Greater Palm Springs. There are only 21 uniquely designed casitas, bungalows, and suites. The property is covered in larger-than-life flower murals, all hand-painted by Louise Jones. Naturally, the suits follow the flower motif and are decorated with floral wallpaper designed by Ellie Cashman.

The guests are invited to enjoy a glass of wine at the Rose & Champagne bar and take advantage of fire pits, games, outdoor living spaces, and a heated pool lined with cabanas. There is no restaurant on the property but the hotel is located close to some of Palm Spring’s best restraints and bars. Sandfish Sushi & Whisky, for example, can be accessed through the back gate.

Hard Rock Hotel, New York

The new Hard Rock Hotel is by all means at the center of the Big Apple. This new property is conveniently situated near Time Square, Broadway, the Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, and Fifth Avenue shopping.

As one would expect the hotel is quite large. There are 446 guest rooms and specialty suites offering floor-to-ceiling windows across 36 floors. The onsite is a music space, Venue on Music Row, which will showcase music performances, fashion shows, gala dinners, and other mixed after-party type events.

RT60 rooftop bar and lounge is home to one of the best skylines in the city. The on-site NYY Steak resto serves up upscale dishes while Sessions Restaurant is focused on farm-fresh seasonal cuisine in a music-inspired setting.
